COMIC NEWS: Still on hiatus until I get one of those J-shaped gamer's chairs and get other things squared away. My current setup isn't all that comfortable to work in for hours at a time.
HOME STUFF: Well, I got the key to my new apartment at 3 pm on the 29th, so I grabbed some of the bulky but light items, stuffed them in the grocery cart my old apartment has, and carted them over. The next day I started the moving in earnest, and had everything moved over by about 11 am the next day (of course I stopped to sleep!), and then cleaned the old apartment.
Spike spent both days in the bathroom with his carrier, food, and litterbox, and didn't do very well. He's always had another cat with him to share the misery even if they didn't like eachother (which was true of him and Miaka), but this time he was alone and he freaked out. The cupboard was slightly ajar, so he climbed in there and became so disoriented he couldn't figure out how to get out...and when I opened the door for him and told him to come out, he tried to climb through the back of the cupboard. Once all our stuff was in the apartment and I let him out, he settled down, but it took a few days to get his health back to what passes for 'normal' now. I do have to give him fluids every other day, tho, versus the previous schedule of every three and only if he needed it.
I haven't even mentioned my youthful neighbors! Living in a one-bedroom apartment with their maybe three year old daughter, two medium sized dogs, and a few cats...who have recieved a ten-day notice because the dogs are over the weight limit, and who are stupid enough that they're letting their dogs roam even after that. They've peed on my porch, crapped under my bedroom window, and ate my container of compost tea, so I'll be glad to see the dogs go to a better home or my neighbors leave completely. I brought the crap up to the neighbor, who later claimed she 'didn't see it' after I left a civilly pointed note on her door and the scooped crap in a bag next to their door....which is STILL there 4 days later. Their kid is awfully cute, tho, and did the same thing my ex-roommate's granddaughter did, which was to try to run out and hug me. :)
Okay, I've probably bored you all enough now. My knee is feeling much better now, and today I'm trying 'Yourealitea Quick Flush' all natural detox capsules, since I'm not going anywhere today and thus wouldn't need to worry about proximity to a bathroom as my system 'flushes'! XD
